Eskdale Silver Diamon
9/9/1992
Blood Bay Purebred Arabian Gelding
Story by Nicole Lowson

I purchased Diamon as a recently gelded and broken in 6 year old . He had been shown and used at stud previously producing endurance and show progeny such as the Australian National Champion Partbred Diamonte Park Chivverz Regal. Originally purchased as a "second horse" to ride and company for my existing horse. I had never really done much other than social/trail riding before.

Within a few years Diamon and I had gone from green beginners to dressage lessons, competing up to novice level and excelling in Pony Club events at the local club as well as doing well at Arabian and ag shows with plenty of blue ribbons and some reserve and champion sashes too.

Still loving my trail riding I also took this to another level and completed at a few endurance rides such as Spring Mountain several years running in between dressage and pony club. Diamon like many Arabians can do it all and his temperament changes to suit becoming toey and competitive on an endurance ride while being a big lazy bum and giving kids rides at home or the local club.

One of our highlights together was a holiday at Noosa North Shore, days of gallops on the beach was amazing.

Things scaled down for Diamon when Mum suddenly got really fat and suddenly a new member of the house arrived (who is now 3 and demands rides when Diamon is trying to eat his dinner in peace.) Although Sunday trail rides or the occasional club or dressage day is thrown in still.

Otherwise he is just my beautiful paddock ornament grazing with his mate Beau. I never tire of watching and admiring him , he is definitely a best friend for life. -Nicole Lowson

Diamon was one of two colts bred at Eskdale sired by Arabian Park Damon, a renowned sire of beautiful and athletic performance horses. Diamon's dam Ambassadors Silver Destiny is our foundation mare, more information can be found about her on our articles page.

As a stallion, Diamon produced several notable horses including an Australian National Champion halter horse in Diamonte Park Chivverz Regal, and two FEI 160klm winners in Hirstglen Fargo and Diamond Explorer.
